DCFC and Ben Gibbard have sucked for some time now. As it was with them, once you hit MTV it's pretty much over. I used to travel follow them around the midwest almost 10 years ago. Shows were $10 at the door of a small venue. Now you pay $40 at some large venue to hear crap and stand by some 12yr old and his mom. Pretty sad. He's actually playing down the road from my place for $35. Back in the day I would drive 10hrs to see them. Now I'm not sure I'd walk down the street if the show were free.

Lol, bands are great until everyone knows about them. Got it.

Please, enlighten me with more of your highbrow musical insight.

Do you think Codes and Keys resembles anything that was We've Got The Facts or the Photo Album? Guessing you came along right around Plans, or probably a year after the Postal Service.

Nah, wouldn't want to see you sheeple at the concerts I attend. I assume you'll figure it out once it hits MTV.

Right, because you know even one single thing about my musical tastes.

Does MTV even play music anymore? I haven't watched anything on that station for years but my program guide never shows anything but reality television shows.

wish he went back to the postal service projects
Re: New Benjamin Gibbard Album
Codes and Keys is an excellent album. Haven't heard this one.
Re: New Benjamin Gibbard Album
Lol, I don't care for any of it, really. TPS for me is intriguing but beyond that, I'm pretty much out.

I wouldn't say that. I WOULD say until they're overplayed by radio to the point of ruining them. I know that's how radio stations make their money, but it freaking kills music.
I used to love Kings of Leon, I did for several years before their last album (the one that hit big in... 2010?). You couldn't turn on the radio for more than 25 minutes without hearing "Sex On Fire" or something like that. I loved at first that they were having this popular success, good for them, they deserved it... until I got so ear-assaulted by all of it that I had to delete all of their songs from my iPods. The summer of 2011 tried to do the same to the Black Keys - my long-standing love for them was almost killed.
