    Nyquil Nightmares

I took some nyquil before I went to bed last night and had a terrible night of sleep. I woke up around 4:00 AM sweating from a very vivid nightmare. Has anyone else ever had a similar experience?

    Re: Nyquil Nightmares

Perhaps I would - if I could ever go to sleep when I've taken NyQuil. I must be the only person living that gets the worst case of insomnia when I take the stuff.

    1. Quit double dosing. Don't lie, you know you did it.
    2. Don't drink extra alcohol with NyQuil, you know you did it.
    3. What time did you go to sleep? I usually get about 5-6 hours of sleep with NyQuil then I am up for the day.

Just giving you a hard time, yes, I have crazy NyQuil dreams too.

Not Nyquil, but I've had some pretty crazy dreams with prednisone.

If I take a sleep aid, I usually end up having some weird-*** dreams.

    Re: Nyquil Nightmares

Yes - I have very vivid dreams when I take NyQuil. I can usually knock out pretty quick when I take it, but after the initial falling asleep, I don't feel rested because of the vivid dreams.

    Re: Nyquil Nightmares

i have had the same but personal experiences generally set off my nightmares. what really sucks is its damn near impossible for me to wake myself up if i take a sleep aid. make sure you're not tense when you go to bed, that helps me some.

I haven't had that happen, but I get a cold sweat when I watch our offense.

Roommate said that he half-awake walked to our living room in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. When he finally came to he couldn't remember why he was in the living room.

It usually knocks me out cold, but the dreams are always very vivid. I always wake up well rested

I hardly ever remember my dreams, and I haven't noticed any change with NyQuil. Maybe I do have vivid dreams, but can't remember them?

If you're not mainlining it, you're doing it wrong.

I usually take 3x the suggested dose because I don't have a measuring thing. I sleep pretty well and dream free.

    Re: Nyquil Nightmares

The only time I remember/have dreams is when I take some sort of sleep aid. I've had the same dream a lot of times too. I always dream that I'm at my grandpa's house with all of my family. It's pretty crazy cause a lot of the people I see in my dream are dead now. Don't remember much else from the dream, just that I could make out everyone's face that I saw.
