I hear you there. I always feel a little sorry for people who get popped for 0.08 at a checkpoint or because of an otherwise benign traffic stop. But no excuse for getting multiple DUIs at any level or for even thinking about getting behind the wheel when you are so drunk you can't even stay on the road.

your third within 12 years is a class D felony, up to 5 years in prison and loss of license for 6 years. I'll be suprised if he even serves a month.

So the guy could have killed one of our family members AGAIN, will probably get off AGAIN, and Marty thinks people are kicking him? The guy is putting himself in these situations, and he is an adult.
If I was in the market for a car, I would go there and go thru all the stages of buying one, then say "wait this isn't the dealership that thinks its ok to have a GM..." Let them know that his actions can hurt people, then hurt their business. Then walk out without the car.

Im serious when I write this, I know a guy here in Cedar Rapids that has 8. He got his first I think in the early 80s. He got his 8th this last march but was actually only charged with his 3rd because all of his priors are technically off his record.
