You can all take my mancard right now but I need some advice. My daughter is really into One Direction so I was thinking of getting her tickets to a concert for Christmas. The only concert in the midwest that is not sold out and falls on a week I have her is at First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre in Tinley Park, IL and all they have left are GA grass seats. From what I read if you get there early enough you can get a decent seat on the grass. Before I drop the money I wanted to see if any fellow Cyclones have ever attended a concert here and what they thought of it?
I saw blink-182, Green Day, and some other band I can't remember years ago but it's a very nice venue. Did not sit back on the grass but if it's not wet outside I imagine it would be fine
I was there earlier this year for a Linkin Park and Incubus concert and the place is huge. I didnt sit in the grass, but those seats are quite a distance from the stage. I'm not sure how good those seats are, but you will have a good view of the stage, just not close to it.
And fyi, beers are $12 there. They are 24oz cans, but still.

It is a good venue and has a big grass section. The grass is always the rowdiest spot so you will all get an eyeful or two.
I read that about the grass but am in hopes that since it's One Direction which has more of a elementary to middle school aged fans that this will be more tame than the rock concerts that attract older fans who drink.
Thanks to you all for your advice! I just purchased tickets for her and 3 of her cousins this morning.
