My cousins and I all had them, our parents would flip out because we'd all just dump our games in a big pile when we got together

Hmmm...I had an x-wing fighter...you know the one where you push down R2D2's head and the wings spread out.
Atari.
I don't know if this qualifies as a toy or not but we had a Yamaha dirt bike and from age 8 on I spent about half my life on that thing.

My baseball glove. Took it everywhere. Milking cows, doing chores, in the car, everywhere

Re: Favorite toy from your childhood

In hindsight, kinda wished I'd gotten the original Gameboy, but this was pretty cool at the time in terms of color and speed of play. Mortal Kombat was great....but some of the other games were not. Always wanted the tv adapter as well.

The Super Nintendo Gameboy game adapter was a childhood lifesaver.

I can't believe it took 5 pages for Gameboy to be mentioned. I played the crap out of SimCity 2000 when we got our first computer. I also think SimTower might be the most underrated of that series.

We didn't have a gaming console until 1991 or so. (NES, of course) What we did have was an Apple IIE since 1983. I played a lot of "Alice in Wonderland". It was on a 5 1/2 inch floppy...you had to boot the game up on side A, and then when you played the game, the disk needed to be on side B. When you got to the "Through the Looking Glass" section of the game, you had to flip back to side A, and then again play the game on side B. Looooved this game. Also played a lot of Moon Patrol.
