Would love to have it legal for anxiety issues. I would prefer being on something that has never been linked to the death of someone than a medication that does more harm than good.

This should pass with flying colors You honestly think pot and meth are anything alike, with any of the same effects?

The flip of that is that there is really nothing to lose here. There isn't going to be much, if any, societal harm created by weed being legal. Most people who want to smoke pot are already doing it. Law enforcement is fairly well trained to identify when someone is under the influence of marijuana and driving, so we have ways of dealing with that. This is going to really weaken the power of organized crime, as full legalization would basically destroy drug cartels (in respect to this drug) much like ending alcohol prohibition was a huge hit to the mafia. So there's the nothing to lose.

Re: Iowa to consider leaglizng marijunua
It's a lame attempt by some legislatures in Iowa, which is hard up for 'tourism' dollars. It why the gay marriage bill flew through without a public vote. Iowa needs tourism dollars.
Pot is the next great thing. Personally I'm not concerned with gay marriage or pot smokers, but both issues would be voted down in Iowa if it went to a vote
