Any beer snobs on here make frequent visits to Chicago?
Looking to find a beer "supplier" that goes to Chicago once in a while and would be interested in picking me up some Three Floyds.
For anyone that has not had it, their Zombie Dust and Alpha King are both great APA/IPA's.
Would publicly renounce the Hawkeyes and change profile pic on top of small travel expense. Originally Posted by hawkeyeh8r not everyone that plays college football wants to go pro..thats probably part of why ISU sends fewer players to the draft than Iowa does -

Have you tried requesting Cyclone Liquors to carry it?

Basically only sold out of Chicago at the moment, and does not sound like any immediate plans on expanding. Too bad your name is ....Hawk.I'll be there on Thursday and Friday. Binny's Beverage Depots probably carry these brands and I'll be within a few hundred yards of one store. For a Cyclone, absolutely. For a Hawk, it would be awfully expensive. Gotta profiteer.

Ah, you must sharpen your reading comprehension. As I stated, will publicly renounce the dirty hawkeyes upon receiving said beer.

Well, after this football season I would hope any sports fan would take pity on me and see that alcohol really is the only way out. Cyclone fans I assume have some experience with this situation. Those beers are very very hit or miss to find in liquor stores....especially Zombie Dust. Binnys will only allow you to buy one six pack at a time if they have it. I usually see it at Whole Foods more often then at Binnys. Anyway both are amazing beers and love finding Zombie Dust on tap somewhere in the city but it never lasts long. You actually need someone to go to their brewery in Indiana and buy a ton of it.

I was going to say, I haven't seen Zombie Dust around at the Binny's by me. We opened an Enjoy By 12 21 12 from Stone at Thanksgiving. It was so awesome that we ran to HyVee to buy everything they had left before they closed. From what I've heard, its been extremely available at HyVee. An excellent, extremely fresh and extremely hoppy IPA.

So what I'm hearing is go to chicago and get you a ton of old style beer.

I'd recommend trying some Surly beer if you're in the Minneapolis area. Surly Furius is my favorite.

FFF/ their distributor tend to favor the smaller liquor stores that have been selling their stuff from the start as opposed to the large chains. zombie dust is one of the harder ones to find and you're mainly going to find their standard beers on the shelves at most places. many stores hold their stashes in the back and you have to ask for something by name to get it. i'm holding a case of zombie for the holidays as we speak :)
