Re: Speed Camera question
If you're talking about the des moines speed camera, the cameras arent on a bridge, theyre on one of the overhead sign things.

Correct. The cameras on 235 heading east are located on the bottom of the overhead sign for 42nd St. There's 4 little gray boxes on the bottom rail and you can clearly see them as you are driving under the sign. If you hit your brakes under the 42nd St bridge you were too late.

Though if he hit the brakes under the bridge before (where some of the 'camera ahead' signs indicate it might be), he might be fine.
Re: Speed Camera question
How fast were you going? I think most of the speed cameras were set to take pictures at 11 mph over.

Correct, the limit there is 60 and they give you 10 so as long as you weren't doing over 70, you'll be fine.
Re: Speed Camera question
Sorry, I didn't mean the bridge, I meant underneath the signs.
I was going about 75. I normally slow down about a 1/4 mile before the signs but I was day dreaming.
I think I may be ok since I put the brakes on right underneath the sign. I guess we'll know in a few days.
