    The Oscars - Best Picture

So, nominations are released January 10, 2013

As of right now, which film do you think has the best chance to win, and if you have a top 5, what are they?

I liked Lincoln a lot, but I was incredibly impressed by Argo. The Master was "ok". I want to see Beasts of the Southern Wild, Silver Linings Playbook, Zero Dark thirty, Killing Them Softly.

As of right now though, my frontrunner is Argo. One of the best movies I have seen all year.

Agree on Argo. The Master had great acting, but was such a fluffy, pointless, and just plain odd story.

I really liked Argo as well. I would like to see Lincoln, though - it seems the type of movie that the Oscars like to reward.

Why is everyone wasting their time wondering what movie is going to win pest picture this year?! Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 is clearly the runaway favorite.

Just saw 'Lincoln' tonight. Great movie. Have yet to see Argo and some of the others, so not sure if it's a front runner for best picture, but it was really, really good. I will say that DD Lewis is astonishing as Lincoln. The guy is flat out the best living actor in my opinion. Absolutely became the character. Will be a crime if he doesn't walk away with best actor.

Tommy Lee Jones and James Spader also make the movie. Amazing performances.

DDL got Best Actor when he was named to the part. Haven't even seen the movie, but I'm sure it's a scam if he doesn't win.

Re: The Oscars - Best Picture

So I got dragged into seeing Argo without ever knowing what the film was about. I seriously had no clue, nor had seen any trailers. It was a pretty good movie. Not best picture worthy, but a pretty good movie.
