Sort of off-topic, but is anyone else not a fan of split-level houses? I don't know why, they bug me.

good luck with your sale, OP -
Re: Urbandale home for sale.
I have enjoyed the split-level. I don't worry nearly as much about our 21 month old around the stairs at my house. If this home was in West Des Moines then we would be living there for a long time, really nice place.

I guess that's a good point, and I guess the house I grew up in is technically a split-level and I loved that house. I should specify, I hate split-levels where the stairs are right at the main entrance of the house, leaving with that tiny entry space that is a pain in the *** when people come through the front door.

Looks like a nice place, but it'd be a long commute for me. Is it really 969 square feet like it says in the listing?

I think that's called a split-foyer and I hate those too.

Well hello, sort of neighbor!
There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams -
Re: Urbandale home for sale.
Distant neighbors, I'd say. Knoxville is just a few miles away from Urbandale, heh.
I lived near this area at around 76th and Meredith for quite awhile. Good area, still have nice homes even for being an "older" area of Urbandale. Lots of nice updates in that house. Pretty much the exact same floor plan as the split foyer we just sold for about $146,000 a year ago.....same square footage on all levels, same detached garage and even the same lot size. Only difference I see is you have a fireplace and we didn't. We also had done a ton of updates.

You don't have to put on your coat to go to the bathroom!
