Reading glasses. WTH - you wake up one day and suddenly you can't read anything in within arms length.
The slipped disc in my back that is kicking my arse.

gotta go with the "where the hell did my hair go?" crowd. I can deal with just about anything else but that one just makes me cringe to even look in the mirror and watch it continually migrate northward.
ohhh and I agree about the reading glasses....total pain in the butt.
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience. -

Re: What do you hate about getting older?
A little over 10 years ago when I was around 30 I was flying home on a Sunday from a crazy weekend work meeting. I was upgrade to first class (only time EVER) in Minneapolis. I found myself sitting next to an incoming ISU freshman from Denmark. He was obviously shook up. He experienced multiple delays and missed connections, putting him in Iowa ~48 hours late. He was worried that his family was freaked out because he was supposed to call them when he arrived, two days ago. Apparently there were day shuttles for international students, but he obviously missed those. He thought ISU was just minutes from the DSM airport and he'd get a cab. I volunteered to drive him to Ames.
Long story short, I get him to the dorms and one of the RAs checking him in called me Mom - as he WRONGLY assumed I was the mother of this 18 year old. That nearly destroyed my soul.
And it's been downhill since then.

Body Hair. I swear to God I'm in a slowly meta-morphing into a werewolf. Manscapping just takes longer and longer the older I get (31).

Re: What do you hate about getting older?
I can't believe there are guys in their late 20's and early 30's whining about getting old. What are you going to be like when you're 50 ?
They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there. -

Re: What do you hate about getting older?
I agree with what many have said about "hitting a switch" about age 26-27ish (I'm 33 now).
I had perfect vision until about 29, I've had to get new prescriptions twice since then. Now I have to wear glasses at work almost all the time. The eye doctor said, "This is a very common thing with aging." "Gee, doc, I'm only 33...." "Yeah, that's a normal age for 'it' to start..."
At my last doctor's visit, I told him I had to pee more often at night. He said, "well, we'll take a urine sample just to be on the safe side, but most likely it's just something normal once you're in your 30's."
Like the guy above said, if it's this bad now, what about when I'm in my 50's!!!!
Also, the aging parents thing. Kinda looming over me like a time bomb. (My folks were 37 when I was born, so, more accelerated than usual.)
