Yellow Snow hit #86 on the Billboard top 100 in '74. Not sure if that counts? A couple other songs making fun of disco got a little air time.
He was extremely popular in Germany and and other parts of Europe. Of course, his lyrics had a lot to do with not catching on with the mainstream, which is just as well.
I'm okay with being an elitist about him, then. :)
I forgot one of my favorite one-hit wonders, never mind her origins:
Cannonball - The Breeders - YouTube
Frank Zappa's not dead. He just smells funny.
If only Taylor Swift & Justin Bieber could have been a one-hit wonders....
Sir Mix a Lot - Baby Got Back
Sisqo - Thong Song
Can't believe nobody's mentioned American Pie by Don McLean. Maybe I'm just showing my age.
