Re: Which Verizon Smartphone?
Same deal with the unlimited data. Currently don't have 4g in Sw Iowa but when we get it I could see unlimited being a big deal as we don't have a separate internet at the house. Any ideas when 4g will get to rural areas?

Re: Which Verizon Smartphone?
I bought 4 Razr HD Maxx for the family. No compaints so far. Just updated to Android Jelly Bean yesterday. We are not big downloaders, so we do not use much of the datashare plan. The videos are great and the Cyclone app works great. Wish cyclones.com would stream live video. Ona recent trip I did not recharge overnight just to see how the battery would last. I did a lot of usage for 2 days and at the end of the 2nd day I had 50% of the battery left.

Did you just buy the phone from Verizon, or did you find it cheaper from a 3rd party? Mind if I ask how much you paid for it?
TIA I picked it up from Verizon. Looked all over the place for a better price, but they all wanted the same amount. I think full retail was either $649 or $700. Phones are freaking expensive!

The S3 is lighter and feels smaller in the pocket than the Thunderbolt.

Them damned cell phone carriers got us right by the nards... Like I said, over a 24 month period, it equals out. Plus, you're no longer under contract with Verizon, you go month-to-month, so you can bail at any time if you feel like it. If you don't mind waiting a few months, I'm sure they'll come out with a new phone that will make the Razr Maxx HD cheaper.

Re: Which Verizon Smartphone?
Another vote for the Razr series. I'm not always in the office all day do it's a big deal for me to be able to talk on it a lot and get through the day on battery. If you sit at a desk or are driving a lot, maybe the Samsung would be better but I have had good luck with the Razr Maxx once I figured out what apps really **** with it.

I've had my Droid Incredible (what I'm posting with right now) for farrr too long already. Originally Posted by Tre4ISU Another vote for the Razr series. Re: Which Verizon Smartphone?
Not to change/derail the thread, but has anyone had any experience with the new Windows 8 phones? I would like to try the software, but the newness and likely lack of apps really scares me away.

Love the Galaxy Nexus, other than the shite battery time. Everything else is fantastic.

Re: Which Verizon Smartphone?
For a cheaper option you could buy a used smartphone from craigslist/ebay and then activate it on a prepaid carrier.

Re: Which Verizon Smartphone?
I got the Razr M because it has the same screen size as the Razr max, but is not so bulky and I only cost about 40 bucks.
Pretty good deal.
