basketball- got 11 rebounds in a quarter my sophomore year. Was perfect from the field in my final basketball game 3 year starter

baseball- led the conference in hitting for half the year. Got 2 MVPs. Got half my teams outs in 1 game playing in the outfield.

In 7th grade I pinned a kid in 17 seconds.... then went.to kar-city bought a skateboard and broke my arm the first time riding it.

4th grade little league I hit the cycle.... proceeded to Cedar Falls to visit my grandmother... and fell out of her tree and... yep... broke my arm.

Dude, don't ever win a Super Bowl or World Series. You'll die or maybe just break another arm.

I sacked fred hoiberg two times when I played against him in high school. I also batted dow a pass from hurl beachum. Last one I had a perfect blind side block on Ross Verba that decleated himon a kick return. In fairness it was kind of late however no flags were thrown. These are my al bundy stats.

Ran track my freshman year at a D3 school. Ran the 800 and 1600. Got the most improved runner on the entire team by improving from a 2:12 800 to 1:56 800.

Of course the first meet of the season was a small home meet where I ran the 2:12. Our annual dorm party was the night before out at some random farm house. I was completely hung over / still drunk running that first race.

Ran a 4:38 mile as a junior and didn't run it as a senior due to stud freshmen.

Won state cross country as a team my senior year and ran a 16:32 (3rd runner).

Won state 4 by 800 and ran a 2:00.38 (still mad I never made it under 2).

Can't really decide which one is the greatest, If you had to force me it'd be the state cross country championship.

Hilton Coliseum was specifically built to hold in sound with a solid concrete structure, steel doors, and a crowd that sits just a few feet from the court. With a fan base that frequently ranks among the nations largest crowds, players from opposing teams, as well as Iowa State, have said that the floor has shaken due to the loudness of the crowd

    Re: Your greatest athletic achievement/moment

My senior year I told everyone my goal was to go to State in cross country. I failed to qualify and was ****** off so I went out for track. I said I was fed up with distances so I would run the 200 and 400. After a couple of meets my cross country coach (who coached the girls' track team) took me aside and told me that if I convinced the coach to let me run the half mile I could qualify for state. He touched a nerve so I gave it a try. At our home invitational I won the 800, placed second in the long jump, second in the 400 and third in whatever relay they stuck me in that week. I ended up winning our district and qualifying for state in the 800 meters. My state meet performance probably belongs in the other thread.

    Re: Your greatest athletic achievement/moment

Senior year, I was playing on the front court at the Rec where the best games usually went on. The game was pretty competitive and late in the game I came down the lane after a missed jumper and threw down a monster tip dunk.

Honorable mention: Also at the rec and was playing ball with the score 14-14 (playing to 15). We were playing a team that had two notoriously dirty players. Called an on ball screen for our PG. Set the dirtiest pick of my life on the saltier one (lowered shoulder, knee out, moving screen) and leveled the kid. Our PG scores and after the game I patted the kid on the head and said, "Nice try. Maybe next time."

Basketball: We were down by ten going into the fourth quarter, versus a team with a guy no one could stop. The coach asked for volunteers to guard him, and I volunteered. He didn't score that quarter and we came back to win the game

Also, the guy was fat and wore weird goggles, which made it funnier that we couldn't stop him

    Re: Your greatest athletic achievement/moment

I was a great batting practice pitcher in high school, great control, could throw strikes blind folded. My senior year, 1989 at CR Jeff, the coaches finally gave me a start. 1-0 in my career with a 23-2 win vs Solon. Obviously a small school and a non-conf opponent, but I don't care!! Also, 2005 2nd team all-american at national slow-pitch D tournament in Midland, Tex. Team finished 4th.
