Stanford... Easy decision. Even if I could have gone to ISU, I'd have gone to Stanford. Best mix of athletics and academics in the nation.

A lot of people put down their adult answers think about when you were a teenager.
Football, Baseball and Golf: Texas, beautiful weather and women. Plus a winning tradition
Basketball: Florida, same reasons as above

I would pick a place that will excell me beyond just in sports. Somewhere that signs my check in case I blow out a knee or something. Stanford (Football or Basketball), Duke (Basketball), or Texas (Football) <--Selfish pick for all the perks of being the player in Texas.

Re: If you were the #1 recruit in the country...
As much as I would love to play football for Notre Dame, if I am the number one recruit I would probably have a pretty strict hookers/co-eds and blow policy on my campus visit, and I'm just not sure they could compete with some of the other schools on that scale.

Basketball. I'd take the Butler Bulldogs to the promised land.

Re: If you were the #1 recruit in the country...
When I was in high school it would be Minnesota, Michigan, or North Dakota for hockey (probably in that order).
Thinking about it now I would go in the MLB draft, if that isn't an option I would play baseball at Oregon St. for three years.

Re: If you were the #1 recruit in the country...
Football: Oregon(RB or WR), USC(QB) or somewhere in the SEC like Florida on D (LB or DB). Facilities, women, BMOC, etc..
Basketball: Probably somewhere like Kentucky to get myself to the NBA and paychecks quickly.
Baseball: South Carolina or LSU, both have rabid fan bases and great tradition of getting to Omaha.
Anything else, probably Stanford. Except swimming would be Cal.

Bag me a rich one at one of the Yacht clubs on the Severn or Chesapeake Bay, then live happily ever after. I approve.
