    So what if its another repeated thread..... AV/Parental controls for a PC

    My kiddo is getting a used laptop for her enjoyment and school work. she is a great kid and follows right and wrong as she should. that said... things happen.

    My router has parental controls (Linksys EA3500) but I am sure there are better local software options out there. any suggestions? and any other website specific controls to put in place?.... Youtube for example... good stuff... but too much 'other' stuff.

    Can't wait for the high horse crowd.

    I use the one endorsed by Dave Ramsey.... Safe Eyes. Works great, customizable, send you an email report once a week showing the sites your kids are using and/or trying to use, but get blocked. Worth the price IMO.
