    Not to minimize the tragedies that we've seen lately, but humans have done much worse to each other in our time here on this planet.

    This isn't to say that it's 'okay' because it's not as bad, but to wish for the end of the world minimizes the things we've overcome as a human society.

    Hate to hear all this. I have a question though. Is this like severe weather and tornadoes where we are not necessarily having more incidents just better technology and more media so we are hearing about them more and know more about them?
