I'm starting to doubt how we are going to get to 8+ inches. Looks like another dry slot will take over in the metro from close to midnight until around 3:00. Not to mention the snow is starting to die off now. If we get close to 6 inches I think we will be lucky.
I am south of Ames and I'm guessing we already have 6 inches of snow. I don't think I have ever seen snow as heavy as it has been for the last hour here, still snowing like hell too.

That dry area in SW Iowa and NW Mizzou concerns me. I've seen some future models that take that right over the metro cutting off our snow totals.
Concerns you, as in "I'm concerned my commute won't be horrible enough tomorrow?" Or "I'm concerned I'm going to have to spend only 45 minutes clearing the driveway instead of a full hour and a half?"

Concerns me as I want Snowmageddon, not just some half assed snow shower.

The totals may be less than advertised, but this isn't a half-assed anything. It's snowing hard and if the winds do as predicted, tomorrow will be miserable.
