In Omaha I figure I have about 8 inches of really packed snow. My snowblower has had it easier going through 2 foot drifts than this stuff.
They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.

I cleared what seemed like 3-4" of slush off my driveway. It wasn't pleasant.

    Re: Midweek snow storm

So I know it is advised not to travel right now, but I was really hoping to make it up to Minnesota tonight after things clear up a little bit. Does anyone know of some websites where you can check driving conditions (specifically on I-35 North)? TIA.

    Iowa: (currently "travel not advised")
Iowa Department of Transportation Traveler Information

Minnesota: (currently "difficult" then "good" just south of MSP)

What is the latest on the storm for next week? Still looking like a big one?

From what I can tell, there will be a storm, but the models have no idea yet if it will impact us or miss us completely.

Unless the wind magically disappears, "clearing up" won't be happening anytime during daylight hours today.

Might clip central Iowa but most of the bad stuff looks like it'll pass us to the south.
