I'm very much a "North" person and would choose to live here over the South any day, but the South wins for food, hands-down. You should move to Mizzou, not only do they not know how to spell, but they can't decide if they are north or south.

Re: Is there a northern style?
Southern style is if you can eat it then it should be fried or boiled. I was in Lexington Ky. earlier this year and a guy noticed they had fried corn on the cob on the menu.
There's also a Waffle House on practically every street corner.

Re: Is there a northern style?
Many people have told me that no matter where you are in the country, employers prefer to hire people from Iowa, Kansas, 'Braska, 'Sota, etc because of our work ethic, education, values and character. If that's not something to hang your hat on...
On a side note, the souf sure knows good eatin'. Can't really compete there.

I suppose you were with the Doughboys in WWI as well?
I suppose you claim credit for defeating the British in the Revolutionary War?
Did you help out at Thermopylae? Agincourt?

Re: Is there a northern style?
Spent a week in Richmond on business and lemme tell you, moving north from Florida up there in January is going to make it a lot more southern for me.

But Kraft Foods is headquarted in Chicago and I don't call all foods "Mac 'n Cheese" or Coors in Denver with me calling every beer a Coors, then specifically a Bud Light

When I came to Iowa the first time someone asked me if I wanted a pop, I thought they said pot. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed.
They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.
