Do you Tip Furniture Delivery guys or not?

Is it appropriate to tip a housekeeper coming into your own home, if you're already paying the service for them to come?

I probably wouldn't tip them but I might leave them a Christmas gift if they did a good job during the year. They probably wouldn't notice though and leave it.

That's what I've always wondered about hotel housekeeping staffs, too - unless an envelope is specifically provided by the hotel, how do they know if the money is just being left out, or if it's for them?

Depends on services rendered. If said hooker does something that I wouldn't want to do on my own, then a tip is obviously necessary.

Sometimes, I leave it on top or under my pillow if I am not checking out. When I checkout I leave it on the night stand with my room keys on top.
