In my humble opinion, some of the most inconsiderate ******** out there. When I lived in Dyersville i had snowmobilers driving up on my lawn, sidewalk, driveway. They would gun it down the street at 3 am on weekdays.
I almost hit one crossing 151 in Marion two nights ago. He didn't see that turning traffic had a green arrow so he leisurely crossed in front of me and a semi. When I worked in Alburnett they would stop in, get good and drunk and be idiots. Snowmobilers could have been substituted in the motorcycle episode of South Park.
Wahhh wahhh wahhh. Everyone ******* about snowmobiles being loud and inconsiderate but what about the jack ***** with there $30,000 harley and shiney straight pipes wadding on it after leaving the bar at 3 in the morning waking everyone up? What about the truck drivers with straight pipes and engine breaks also? Lets not even start with the drunken idiots on Okoboji with their out of hull exaust on their boats at 2 in the morning. I always hear stuff about sleds tearing stuff up also, but 99.5% of the time the stuff that looks "tore up" will be regrown and un noticeable by spring. Being a snowmobiler is like being a cop, everyone hates you and A few idiots ruin it for everyone
Looks like we are going to be grounded for a while.
Idea: First annual CF snowmobile poker run?
Anyone pic up a new ride over the summer? I got this right at the end of the year (already had the wife):
I sold my sled about 5 years ago with the intentions of buying another one but I never did. I haven't really missed it at all, not to mention with my kids getting older and participating in sports more I don't have time to ride during the winter anyway.
