So first, I need to make a slight confession...
Hi, my name is SaraV, and I did not attend Iowa State...I married someone who did. I attended a private college out in Ohio.
So I'm driving I-70 east in Indiana, going back to school after a break, no more than five miles from the state line into Ohio. I'm doing my customary 72 mph in a 65 zone, and this Jeep with huge mudding tires blows past me. I just roll my eyes at the idiot and continue on. Not two miles into Ohio, and that Jeep is pulled over by a state trooper. Note: State troopers in Ohio are extremely persnickety, so you'd better set your cruise for the speed limit when you drive there.
Driving back from Des Moines to Lincoln when we lived in Nebraska, and we're right around the exit for the mall in Council Bluffs, right where the speed limit dips down to 55. A silver Corvette with dealer plates goes past, probably still doing 75. I said out loud to my husband "Isn't that just asking for it? Speeding, in a Corvette, with dealer plates." Just before crossing under the 480 overpass in Omaha, there's the Corvette, pulled over by one of Omaha's finest.
I've always enjoyed this video:
I wish I had a dash came sometimes, an irritating and reckless driver in front of me ended up getting t-boned at not super high speeds after attempting to cut through opposite traffic without really looking. I was thinking man, that person's going to get in an accident sometime, 45 seconds later it happens, and I'm like yep, that's about right.
