Yep, I've heard Petco and Sports Authority are going in between Target and Super Walmart. What exactly is Sports Authority, anything like Scheels?
Sports Authority is probably closer to a Dick's than Scheels. More of an emphasis on athletic goods than hunting/camping goods. The ones near me (not that the New Orleans stores are shining examples), had some camping & fishing stuff but leaned more towards team sport stuff.
As far as the Chipotle debate, I wasn't all that impressed with Chipotle when it opened down here. Had it 4-5 times and it's always kind of bland. I much prefer a louisianna chain called Izzo's.
Surprised if Petco is coming to Ames. The city tried to force down their throats a few years ago how big their parking lot needed to be, and I thought Petco pretty much gave Ames the middle finger after being too (understandably) frustrated.
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than selfish and worry about my liver."

There has never been an Old Chicago in Cedar Rapids. Believe me, I would have known. I might very well have kept the business in operation singlehandedly if they had a franchise here.
Where exactly by Westdale are you thinking? I'm trying to think of places that have come and gone over the past 21+ years I've lived here.
I like Chipotle. However, Freebirds is much better. Just not one close to where I live. But there is one close to where i work. As for Pepperjax, the Steak sandwiches are awesome. However, their chicken is terrible. It is not a burrito place, but does have some similar things.
