It's not so much an "oops" as it is hilarious. But I routinely cropdust my students when they're taking tests or working just to watch them blame each other. Also, just last week, I had a student rip a loud one in the middle of class, I just look at the kid, all they say is "Oops, I thought that one was going to be silent. My bad."

One day our teacher had to leave suddenly and our principal had to jump in. I got in trouble for telling him he was wrong and that "A.D." does not mean "After Death". He called my mom in to discuss my disrespectful behavior. Also, during that meeting he learned he was wrong.
Remind me not to let my kids go to school in Johnston where there are apparently a bunch of insane parents on the loose.

I went to a very conservative, small Christian college. As a communications/broadcasting major, I had to take Issues and Ethics in Media with the most "buttoned-up" of our three main professors.
Took the class the winter/spring semester of 1998, so the whole scandal involving Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky was starting to break. One day, we were discussing the ethics of how much information the White House should release to the public about national security/dealings with foreign countries/etc. In the midst of discussion, Dr. Baker says something to the effect of "We need to understand that not all information is going to be released from the Oral Office." The class loses it as Dr. Baker stands there with a tight-lipped grin, waiting for us to calm down, knowing he'd made the biggest freudian slip of his life.
I agree. However, I look at it from a common sense, what would I do point of view. With my son's friends, I do not take for granted that they are allowed to do or see the same things that my son can, so if there is a questionable game or movie that they may play or see, I always ask first.Quote:
