Houses for rent (West Of Campus - Aug. 2013)

So I made a super awesome and artistic paint of the google maps of Ames to settle this debate.

1. He said a house, so actual West Ames is out of the question. I'm assuming he wants a house no further west than West Hyvee. I have circle this area professionally in blue. I have also circled in blue areas south of Linclon Way in a similar area.

2. I circled areas in East Ames that you could live on the map as well. This is a much wider range.

3. I circled where classes are. Note, that there are almost no classes on the easternmost 1/3 of campus, plus a river and some open ground before you hit even the closest houses.

4. I noted the locations of the bars (not sure how old these guys are, but good for general reference).

Conclusion:
A. East Ames can be as close as a moderately far, to far house in West Ames when it comes to classes, provided you spend your time on the east side of campus.
B. East Ames can not compete when it comes to being as close as possible to both classes and the bars (not to mention the house party scene is mostly on either side of the bars and directly west of campus)
C. I am a professional artist.
