Who all has been sick since Christmas?

Had a 103° fever Friday and Saturday and still at 100° on Sunday. finally Down to normal today.

I know its coincidence, but I have gotten sick every time I have ever gotten the flu shot and not sick on the years I didnt within the past 7 years or so. After getting bent over by influenza A, I may just take my chances with whatever virus they deem "popular" next year.

I had a moderately bad cold back in November, but knock on wood, have been fine since then. Right after Christmas though, the husband came down with something really fast one day, spiked a 103F fever, went to bed as soon as he got home from work. We were convinced it was the flu with the body aches, sore throat, chills, and sudden onset, but he woke up fine the next day. Day after that it was like he woke up in the middle of having a cold (you know how it normally comes on for a few days?). Dealt with that for a week - sore throat, cough, all of it. Went away and then this Friday he woke up with a sore throat again.
He never, ever gets sick so we have no idea what the heck he was dealing with.

Same here, their morning walk in clinic is a mad house every day. We have been pretty lucky to avoid some of the worst cases. My niece and some friends kids have spent nights in the hospital for dehydration from puking so much.

We have RSV running through our house now. Soon to be 1 year old brought it home from day care.

Older two have had quite a few random fevers, runny noses, short puking spells, etc. This winter seems to be worse than anyone I have seen as a parent. We had bad spell two years ago with the middle one when she spent 4 days in the hospital due to dehydration and low blood sugar and couldn't shake it but this winter as a whole has been much harder on the entire house.

And what's bad is everyone passes everything around - and daycare and school are breeding grounds, everyone wipes their little noses and then plays with the same stuff.

RSV terrifies me. Our 2.5-year-old is prone to croup, and I hate that enough as it is.

I had never had the flu and my Mom convinced me to get the flu shot one year. That year I got the flu, and was by far the sickest I have ever been. Since then, went back to not getting the flu shot, and I have yet to get the flu again. Probably a coincidence, yes, but until I get the flu w/o having the flu shot, I wont consider getting the flu shot.
