RejectedGF has had influenza A for the past three days and somehow I'm not sick yet. My theory is I'm devastatingly infected but my immune system hasn't noticed yet. The funny thing is she got the flu shot and I didn't.

Sinus infection which lingered from 12/26 until 1/10 or so. Of course, that's partly my fault for not getting to the doctor until 1/8, thinking it was going away on its own.

Got something from my husband for a week and a half before Christmas, coughing until you puke, fever, headache, chills, inability to stay awake. Felt better by Christmas Eve. Two kids never got it. My sister and her family stayed at our house on Christmas Eve and day and is now blaming her illness on us, even though she didn't start feeling ill until January 9 and she had been visiting in-laws in hospital about a week before that..

My three year old had a cough for a week and a fever one day. My 7 month old started coughing too. I decided it would be wise to get my flu shot. Too little too late. I got a fever Saturday night and am now stuck at home with Influenza A. Luckily my daughter only has bronchitis and my son has an ear infection. This flu is no good.

I was sick on the 2nd, but that had more to do with severe dehydration than anything else. When I get sick, which isn't often, I get knocked on my ***. Last time I was sick was 2 years ago, and I already run a cold normal temp, and when I got home from work I was rocking a 104 temp. I felt miserable for three days.

My wife says she is the shiznit and to not forget it.........................wow she is delusional. She got the flu shot and has been fine and she works around a ton of people who have been sicker than hell. Me no flu shot and have been just fine so far.

Was in Decorah for an honor choir last night. I couldn't fall asleep at the hotel and then threw up like 6 times last night. Still not feeling the greatest

I had never had the flu and my Mom convinced me to get the flu shot one year. That year I got the flu, and was by far the sickest I have ever been. Since then, went back to not getting the flu shot, and I have yet to get the flu again. Probably a coincidence, yes, but until I get the flu w/o having the flu shot, I wont consider getting the flu shot.

Pretty much the same deal for me. I decided to not get the shot this year and have been fine ... so far ... extra paranoid about keeping my hands clean this year though.

I threw up in my mouth at about 3:30 pm on New Year's Eve. I heard there were some digestive problems going around from people from Ames with some big turds being laid.
