Favorite Fruit
It must be a slow time of year. Everyone is talking about what they do with there hand in their pocket, and weird things they put in their mouths.
I'll add another topic.
What is everyone's favorite fruit? I'm talking uncooked, unadulterated, no sugar added, not used in a recipe, just straight fruit.
I'm going with pineapple.

Re: Favorite Fruit
In-season watermelon or strawberries straight from a garden. Pineapple and muskmelon are high on the list, though.

Big huge juicy melons. The bigger the better

Re: Favorite Fruit
fresh mango is pretty awesome, and I also discovered plumcotts this summer.
But the best fruit is easily a wedge of lime in a gin and tonic.

Re: Favorite Fruit
Strawberries were always my favorite growing up, and are still up there. Fresh pineapple (not canned) is tough to beat though. I like bananas, but like artificial banana flavoring much more (banana Runts, anyone?)
I went to Malaysia last fall and had lychee for the first time and really liked it. I also heard from both lovers and haters of durian- "smells like hell, tastes like heaven" vs "smells like ****, tastes like ****" so I did not try it.

They say country music speaks to the heart. Unfortunately, it has to go through your ears to get there.
