    How weird is it that the guy who directed the last two Star Trek films is going to direct the Newest Star Wars

    They did start with IV, V, and VI, before doing I, II, and III, right? Why not start with XII this time around?

    He did damn well with the newest star trek, so i look forward to this.

    The real test is going to be having a good writer on it though. Some of the writing in the prequels was terrible.

    I don't even know what you guys are talking about. There's only three movies.

    Sure, some fat guy with no idea what made Star Wars great with way too much money made some bad fan movies in his computer circa 1999 to 2005, but those sucked and nobody liked them. They're not canonical.

    I wouldn't be surprised if JJ wrote them himself. He has a pretty extensive writing background for both TV and movies.
