That one I never saw! I was out of my horror movie phase, and couldn't bring myself to watch it. It looked so wretched.

Probably because as a zombie he had ninja like reflexes and took out Herman Munster by slicing his achilles tendon.
Re: Favorite horror movie?
I liked the Jason X one. I was very entertained when he froze that chicks face in liquid nitrogen and then shattered it. Also liked the scene where he thinks hes at the camp and takes all of the people in sleeping bags and pillow fights the trees with them. Quality cinema.

When I was around 7 years old my older bothers were watching Poltergeist late at night and I snuck into the room and watched it from behind the couch. One of my more vivid memories from that age. Of course they discovered I was there towards the end and after I went to bed they snuck into my room and scared the bejeesus out of me.
Edit: I will add that the remake of The Crazies from a couple years back is really underrated.

I hate the achilles tendon slice in any movie. Sends chills up my spine. For some reason that act of violence really gets to me over anything else.
Re: Favorite horror movie?
I really liked "House of a 1000 Corpses", mainly because it's something that could possibly happen.
A few others -- Burnt Offerings, Phantasm, The Guardian
Re: Favorite horror movie?
I almost forgot, Hellraiser

There's a psychological horror film that I can't remember the name of right now. It's a group of men renovating the interior of an abandoned mental institution. I think it might be "Session 9" or "Session 49" or something? It was really well-done.
It was Session 9. A horror movie I have not yet watched.

Does "The Crazies" count?
GO STATE OF IOWA!

A small group of us used to get together once a week and watch our way through horror series. Halloween I and II are actually really good movies, shot and directed very well despite very low budgets - so they probably win for me. (Halloween III: Season of the Witch may be the worst movie ever, however.)
Highlander II is the worst movie of all time, which is not to say that Halloween III isn't atrocious.

Does Zombieland count? Probably not, huh?
I loved Lost Boys in high school. Cabin in the Woods was good, too.

Absolutely it counts. Liked that one too.
Re: Favorite horror movie?
The original Carrie scared me, esp at the end when Carrie kills her mom. She ends up looking like that creepy Jesus statue. Halloween and Prince of Darkness are two others I enjoy.

Curious to see how they do with the remake of Carrie.
