Top Video Games of 2012

The all time best list got me thinking about the games that consumed my life last year. My tops were:
Crusader Kings II- Have 254 hours in on this game according to Steam, most of that coming in a span of 3 months or so.
Black Ops II- Love Transit, dislike some of the MP tweaks.
Chivalry- First person hack and slash to victory!

NBA 2k13 is pretty awesome. Big comeback from the mediocre 2k12

Black Ops 2 was really fun, as was Borderlands 2. It is a ***** switching back and forth between the two though.

I bought Crusader Kings 2, but have only spent a few minutes with it. Not sure why. It just seems like I fire it up, and then feel like I don't know where to start.

FIFA 13 - Best version of a game that I buy about every three years or so
Transofrmers:Fall of Cybertron - suprisingly deep and fun multiplayer
Black Ops2 - Lag compensation is an excuse for grouchy nerds, best COD multiplayer to date
Forza Horizon - I just wish it was bigger...but crazy fun and a great soundtrack
Angry Birds Star Wars - Way, way too much fun

same here on Crusader Kings. I got it when it was dirt cheap on Steam, played it for just a bit. Just didn't do it for me.

I've not played it, but I've heard nothing but good things.

EDIT: I assume you're talking about the PS3 game and not the band.

I consider the Mass Effect trilogy to be one of the best in video game history and while the 3rd game didn't live up ME2 it was still very good, however Journey was far and away my favorite game of the year. Also missing from Top 10 lists was Nintendo Land in my opinion.

My most disappointing game (while still fun) was ACIII.

Halo 4 and Sound Shapes were damn good too.
