Re: ISU Wingtips?
FYI, here's a set of before-and-after photographs of my Allen Edmonds when I got them re-crafted (they do this as part of the service). It only took 6 months for them to get in this condition. -

They must really use some ****** leather for the soles on this model or something, since my Alden's and the soles I had replaced by the cobbler have held up great. It really pisses me off that AE glues their heels on, too.

Re: ISU Wingtips?
i must be missing something about that sole. most of my soles look like that after a year or so but the structural integrity is still there.

2) I live in Texas. Texas Formal consists of jeans, boots, button up shirt, maybe a jacket.

The left shoe had two huge holes in the leather. My others have looked like that for a while but the leather is so much thicker that they're still solid. You can tell where the heel has fallen apart, though--I had to re-glue it several times.
