Yes. I had some while I was in Italy. I thought it was very good.

You mean ammonia treating to kill E. coli and Salmonella. That happens at the processor level for more than meat purchased by fast food joints.

The bleaching I was referring to is the "bleaching" of the flavors out of the meat. Then they add the flavors back into the meat chemically so that the meat has that signature taste that they want you to have. In Fast Food Nation it describes how places like McDonald's have their flavors come from a chemistry set and not from the actual food.

I know its horrible for me..as for the details, I don't want to know. I don't care if I was actually eating some panda/lizard meat combo that's been infused with untested controversial chemicals from a lab in Mexico..as long as I never hear the specifics. Ignorance is bliss.
