Do you drink coffee in the morning?

It has become a standing challenge on RAGBRAI for us to find a bar with milk (we are talking in the last quarter of the pack, so bars are out of everything) so we can drink White Russians.

Grind beans (preferably Peet's) every morning, French press it, 20 oz every morning, black and strong. No better way to start the day. Occasionally make cold filtered for a change of pace (and less acidic).

Gotta have it. On weekday mornings I only have one cup because I gotta get to work. But on weekends, I'll have 2 or 3 cups.

Of course I like some of the more expensive brands out there, but I can drink just Folgers straight black too, doesn't bother me at all.

And it HAS to be straight black too. Don't ruin an awesome cup of coffee by putting anything else in it.

Yeah, I might be able to appreciate a nice coffee just black, but I don't consider Foldgers to be 'awesome'. Since that's the kind of coffee currently in my budget, I spice it up with a teaspoon of creamer & a couple of sugar. MmmmMMMmmm. Oh, & Burger King has some pretty awesome iced coffee.

Show me where in my post I said that Folgers was 'awesome'? I didn't. I just said that I don't need the fancy expensive coffees to make me happy.... a hot cup of plain old Folgers works fine too. It's not as good as expensive coffee, but it's a LOT better than nothing.

I'm a fan of 7-Eleven's blueberry-flavored coffee. Not creamer or syrup - blueberry-flavored coffee. Straight black. Unbelievable how good that stuff is.

Soda relaxes me. Back in high school I had to have at least one can of Mountain Dew just to go to sleep. If I didn't have it I would have the worst insomnia.

Never was a coffee drinker, but tried it many many times. My morning caffeine comes in a Diet Mt. Dew. I'm not addicted but I pretty much have one every morning at some point.
