Dewars and soda used to be my go to drink. Now I usually just have a few beers. If I drink a shot it is Yukon if they have it. Of course now I have a hankering . . .

I also haven't tried it yet but I believe that it is made by Jim Beam.

    1) Beer especially if it's somewhere with a good local brewery, 2) Whiskey/Diet, 3) Gin and tonic

I haven't tried that particular one, but I've had other "devil's cut". Which is the term used for booze extracted from the barrel wood, you are correct, but I didn't care for it. It's a lot more "harsh" or has more of an alcohol burn than normal whiskey.

    Re: Go-To Bar Drink

Don't have a specific beer I go for if doing beer, something that is on tap. For mixed drinks I had different phases in college. I did vodka and something for awhile, followed by rum and coke, followed by whisky and coke. These days either vodka or rum with Dr. Pepper.

French 75 or Moscow Mule if they are listed. Otherwise a G&T or 7&7.

    Re: Go-To Bar Drink

Usually start out with a neat single malt scotch before I get too drunk to enjoy it.

Then, I switch to either micro's or So-Co Sprites. I sometimes get crazy and throw in something exotic like a Tom Collins.

The only people that get hangovers are those that are stupid enough to stop drinking.

I've been getting into White Russians, recently. Though Vodka & Coke or Vodka & Red Bull are good mixes.

Yup. Its quite a bit tastier than Budweiser, but they want craft beer prices for it. If it cost the same as Bud, I'd probably make it my go-to regular beer. As it stands, I probably won't drink much of it unless its a good special.

I like your drink mix best out of probably anybody. My staple is gin and tonic (diet tonic if they have it, but they rarely do), but a Moscow Mule is gaining some headway on me recently. For #3, I'd replace your 7&7 with a Whisky Sour, but those two drinks aren't too far off from one another. As for your French 75, I've never had one. I looked it up and it sounded pretty solid, except for the fact that I'm not crazy about having chanmpagne in anything. However, in the mix, I could see it being pretty decent. I might have to give it a try next time.
