Re: Bad roommates
These stories sound horrible. It was nice to get a solid roommate freshman year and live with 5 of my best friends the next 3 years in a house. The worst we had was a roommate who ****** his pants a couple of times.
How some of you stayed in the dorms for longer than one year is beyond me.

Re: Bad roommates
Man, just spent quite some time reading through this whole thing. I was lucky enough to live in a dorm with my cousin freshman year and now an apartment with him and a friend from my hometown.
Though for all I know they could be hiding dead bodies in their rooms..

Re: Bad roommates
If I can't think of any bad roommate stories does that mean I was the bad roommate?

Re: Bad roommates
A buddy of mine and I split a house our last year in college and it was eye opening. His girlfriend pretty much moved in part way through the year and never picked up or cleaned. I was coaching wrestling at the time and was gone a lot so I didnt mind to much until season was over and I was back all of the time. One morning after having indulged almost to much (there is never to much) I came to get a bottle of water and chugged it down only to shortly realize that it was vodka. She had filled my water bottles with vodka to be able to take back to the dorms since she was underage. I proceeded to throw up outside their bedroom and scream obscenities and threats.
Flash forward 7 years, they were married, now getting divorced and he lives with me again.

One day my freshman year me & my roommate heard some ruckus coming from down the hall. We glanced down & there were about 6 guys standing outside a guy's door, all holding things like crowbars & baseball bats, yelling for this kid to come out.
Apparently, the kid who was locked in his room had gone to a party the night before (don't remember if it was a frat or just a house party). At that party, I guess he thought it'd be a good idea to steal the 7 inch LCD screen out of their bathroom.
After a couple CA's got called, the kid gave them their mini-tv back without major incident. Our whole floor gave him plenty of **** until he moved out at semester... -

Re: Bad roommates
My freshman year I lived in Wilson and had a PITA roommate for fall semester. He would open up the windows and turn on the fans full blast in the middle of winter basically freezing me out. Of course he would sleep in like 4 layers of cloths too so he was just doing it to **** me off. There was nothing I could do to move because everything was full. Luckily he moved into a frat spring semester and I had my room to myself the second half of the year. Roommates were fine after that point.

Re: Bad roommates
My freshman year I lived up in Knapp in towers. I had a roommate from Madrid. Huge Iowa fan. Probably stayed at the dorm 1 or 2 nights a week at the most. He had a girl friend that had a nice personality but probably the size of a small jersey cow. I tried to be the nice roommate when he was around. I let him use my computer, which alwayed had the browsing history erased after he used it. I had the fridge and let him use it, had the sofa, had the tv. Basically I had everything and he had nothing in the room. Which didn't bother me at all.
I went out to a block and bridle party 1st semester on a Friday night, got completely trashed and caught a ride home to my dorm afterwards. When I got off the elevator to my floor I could hear a tv turned up extremely loud. As I got closer to my room I realized it was my tv. I entered the room and my roommate, and a male friend of his where sitting on the same chair together in just boxers looking at gay porn on my computer. They quickly closed the web explorer as I entered the room and then moved away from the computer. Quickly trying to put on their cloths.
Being extremely drunk... As nicely as I could at that time. I told my roommate to get the **** off my computer, get the **** out of my room. Don't bother coming back anytime soon. I think I was polite about it considering... The 2 of them then took off within a minute or so.
About an hour later our dorm phone was ringing at about 2 am (which the only calls we got on it were either his gf, or my mom). Sure enough I fell out of my loft. Grabbed the phone and it was his gf wondering where he was. Being the nice guy I am, I told her it was time to find a new bf and what happened.
I only heard from him once more when he called my cell phone the next day threatening to kill me for telling his gf. I was too hung over to give a rat's ***. I never saw him again.. He came by the room once to grab all his cloths and books, but left the majority of the stuff in the room until the final day of moving out that year.
After that I decided only to live with people I know and trusted.
