Very Early 2/21 Weather Thread

Yes I know this is very early, but looking at the Meteogram Generator at snow totals for tonight, I noticed next Thursday is starting to look a tad interesting...

Weather person on the radio today was saying "while it is a bit early"...all the models are consistent in their predictions of a significant weather event for late next week. Ugh...

Heading to Steamboat next Thursday, looks like it may be an interesting trip...

Crap! That is a ton of snow. Looks like I may have a 4 day weekend next week.

Man this winter has been tearing up the gravel drives at one of my places. If this happens it will only be worse. Why can't the ground freeze before it snows!!!

Gotta drive home from Milwaukee in the afternoon/evening on the 21st. Gonna be big time PO'd if I can't get home.

Better next week than the week after....gotta fly out on the 2nd.

I'm hoping for a 20-incher......

Interpret for us laymen. Are the lines on that graph different models predicting different amounts of snowfall?

And do we know yet if it's just going to be snow or the full on blizzard type of treatment?

Each line is a different model I believe. As far as wind, if you scroll down on the link, you will see wind speeds being predicted anywhere from 20-45 MPH during the day on Thursday.

Good question. We hashed-out the wind concern ad-nauseum a while ago. But what about when there is material blowing about in the wind. That's got to increase the load on the structure, right?

I'm not overly concerned about this one. But does anybody have any info on the April 13/14 event? Or October 4/5? :jimlad:
