I feel bad about the hate I dished out after the posterology stuff, and now rulzzz deserves some love for the work he put into it!

Rulzz we seriously weren't ever mad at you over the posterology stuff. We were goofing around in the same way people goof when their team is left out of the tourney. It definitely wasn't a stupid idea, in fact I think the outpouring of people getting into it and the what nearly 100 pages of posts on it is a testament to that. No one holds it against you that you put in work to set it up, as Janny said it just wasn't consistent with the business model for the site. Not your fault brother. I apologize for rustling your jimmies needlessly.

I wasn't around when the whole thing was pulled but that seems like a weird excuse considering some of the other things we have on this site at times. Right now I can find two threads related to trolling and one about wiping ***. Those things really don't bother me but I fail to see how they fit the business model any more that Posterology did. I have a feeling it had more to do with the crap people were going to get in the voting threads than the business model. Like I said, I wasn't reading along at the time so I don't know if that was the reason given. The idea was a good idea that I thought would be fun no matter what happened in it. That's not to mention Rulzzz obviously spent quite a bit of time on it and had it very organized. I guess I was looking forward to seeing how the thing went and I thought we would have a blast with it. Good job Rulzzz. I think the vast majority of us were looking forward to making it work.

It's not the reason I gave at all. If you've been on the site for a while, you know that there have been several attempts at "poster vs. poster" contests. And they always go down the same way. They start off with the best of intentions, but quickly denigrate into personal attacks and general nastiness. That's what happened here. It's no fault of Rulzz, and he was informed of that and told exactly why it was closed via pm. I understand that he put a lot of work into the thread, but unfortunately it could not stay up.

Exactly my thoughts. Apparently it's not just our recruits that get their panties in a bunch over this stuff.

My problem was there were other mods that were involved in the posterology early on, and not one of them said to put the breaks on it or to not proceed with it. One mod was even giving suggestions on how to run it. Then another mod with a hard on comes in and closes it down. And I'm sorry but that is just ********. And honestly as a business model or whatever it looks pretty bad. It was all done in the gaming forum were people had to opt in. Janny was in the wrong. I wasn't even in the game.

Like I said earlier, if it was just so cut and dry that this type of thing wasn't going to be allowed on cf it should of been nipped in the butt a week ago.

sorry you feel this way. Unfortunately, your beef resides with the posters who took things out of bounds, particularly the ones who couldn't keep the "c**k" out of their mouths.

i would make a poll to help prove my point on who people think should be blamed for this, but won't waste my time since you will close the thread down anyways if you don't like the outcome.
