Ross could use some decorating. Living there, it needs some help. I love Ross basement. It was really fitting having Soviet or Cold War related history classes down there.

All of Ross was creepy, but I know of what you speak. Back in my day, they had rooms in the middle that were supposed to be student library/lounge areas. If you liked hanging in dark interior rooms sipping instant coffee, I guess they were ok. I always feel a little sorry for Melvin when they mention the History major, assuming he spends a lot of time in that dump.
Fourth floor Beardshear though was literally creepy. The room I had some class in had ancient hardwood floors that creaked with something as insignificant as someone shifting in their chair. There was no way to sneak into class late. There was some old globe in the corner that probably still had Texas as a separate country. Entire room was caked in chalk dust and dead insects. At least there was natural lighting to see all the filth.

Can't believe no one has said Town Engineering. Maybe there just isn't as many CE's or ConE's on this forum.
Either way the place sugs.

Re: Favorite/Least Favorite Building on Campus
I think Ross was designed to be easily protected in case of student rioting as it was built in the early 70s. Much of University of Illinois at Chicago is the same way. Just a guess as to why its tall and square.

Carver was the best place to study and the MU was always a favorite of mine.
Lease favorite was probably that tall skinny one by the smart kid center and econ buildings.

Re: Favorite/Least Favorite Building on Campus
To take a dump in? Definitely the MU. They have the softest toilet paper and their bathrooms always smell pleasant.

Re: Favorite/Least Favorite Building on Campus
Favorite: Gerdin (very underrated building on campus IMO)
Least Favorite: Forker (I get lost in that building everytime I go there)

Either way the place sugs. I love the labs in Town. They may be the best on campus.
My favorite building is the Memorial Union. I love the history, tradition, and energy in the building.
My least favorite is Ross.

Hated the wind tunnel between Ross and Curtis. Saw many of umbrellas wrecked right there, actually kind of funny when they inverted.

One time I took a **** on physics hall when I was drunk and walking home. Hate that building with an undying passion

Re: Favorite/Least Favorite Building on Campus
Carver and Ross were definitely my two least favorite, hated my Math and English classes and they were in general really depressing.
As a CE grad, agree Town wasn't great. The senior labs were ok, but I'm sure the other engineering buildings had stuff way cooler and I just didn't know any better.
Howe was brand new when I was a so/jr, so I always really liked that building. Comfy chairs, spacious rooms, cool labs.

Jack trice stadium it is a house of horrors

Re: Favorite/Least Favorite Building on Campus
Favorite would have to be Curtiss (after renovation), Horticulture (my building), Hoover and Howe.
Least favorite: Carver, Ross
Needs to be demolished: Design (hate that place with a passion)
