Biscuts and Gravy, with chorizo. Bacon on the side. Two eggs, basted preferably. Tobasco on all of it.
I don't care for Nutella. Crunchy Peanut Butter on your toast with honey, though, is from the gods.

I can't believe I'm going to be the first one to say it: Eggs Benedict.
Do you know why I put up with this 'pitiful job', Mr. Donaghy, why I fetch these folks' lunches and clean up their barfs? Cause they make television. And more then jazz, or musical theater, or morbid obesity, television is the true American artform. -

Back when Cafe Shi was still around, we went once for brunch (I was pregnant, and wanted their yellow curry at 10 a.m.). It was during the Kentucky Derby, and their special was a Kentucky Hot Brown. My husband ordered it, and it was awesome. I'm sort of picky about breakfast food, but even I really liked it.

Another good one is making a couple of eggs, and at the end throw on some leftover fajita..Put it all in a tortilla shell, throw some cheese and sour cream on it. Delicious.

I assume it's a Yin and Yang thing, delicious food needs to have a terrible name to keep the balance of the universe.

Re: Alternate Friday Thread - Favorite Breakfast Food
1. Start a pot of coffee.
2. Mix a bloody mary. All horseradishy and spicy.
3. Start sauteing some onions, fresh garlic, shallots, jalapenos, poblanos.
4. Throw in some potatoes. Season with a mix of cracked black pepper, sea salt, chili powder, and cumin.
5. Throw in some meat. I've done chorizo, various types of sausage, ham, turkey, bacon, even jaeternice. Whatever trips your trigger.
6. Don't forget to be alternating between the bloody mary and the coffee as you cook.
7. Beat 2 eggs. Once the veggie/meat combo is closing in on being done, dump the eggs on top of everything and mix throughout.
8. Add some cheese immediately after the eggs. I tend to prefer either cheddar or feta. Again, its whatever you like.
9. Once everything is done, top with salsa/hot sauce. You can also roll this combo up in a tortilla for a great breakfast burrito.
