Just curious, how many of the 360 owners here have had RROD or some other problem? What chipset/hardware revision of the 360 do you have?

I am looking to get a Wii for a wedding present for a friend. Anyone know where I can get one without paying Ebay prices? I am running out of time and having no luck.

I got one at amazon after getting an alert from this place, you have to be quick though. I also got one at Fry's after randomly seeing it on slickdeals.net. My brother just got one from circuit city online...he had to buy it with 4 games, but he was able to return the games and just keep the console.

Otherwise see if you can find out when your local target/walmart/? is getting a new shipment and get to the store early. Hope you can find one!

I got my Wii at a ShopKo... most people don't think to go there... Pamida has them too if you are in a small town.

I had the red rings on my 360... Got a quick refurb through warranty though... No problems since.

Heard today on the radio they are making Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. Its all Aerosmith and bands that influenced them growing up.

Target in ankeny has roughly 50 Wii's in its stock room right now. I am a target employee. They will be on sale sunday im guessing for ad. once we get them in they are usually sold the following sunday. u will have to get there early to get in line and if the line isnt big u can chill in ur car. usually around 4 or so people start showing up. then in the morning they will hand out tickets for however many wiis we have. or u could go in and ask if u could get one and see if they will pulll one from the stock room. prolly wont happen but worth a try.

XBOX 360 runs on standard DVD technology, so quite honestly nothing happens to the 360 now that HD-DVD is on the way out. The only thing HD-DVD had to do with the 360 was a separate $200 attachment you could buy for the 360 in order to watch HD-DVD movies. I'm sure that in the coming years consumers will be able to buy a Blu-ray attachment. Microsoft's plans for the nextgen XBOX, however, could look drastically different now.
