Pop-Up Ads

What is it with the pop-up ads on this site? On none of the other countless websites that I visit do I get even one pop-up, but here I get one every time I click on a new page. Does this happen to anyone else?

I shouldn't have to download anything. No other website has popups, and this was an issue brought up back in December, and the thread got quite a few posts including from CW saying it would be looked into. It should be fixed by now.

I've posted numerous times that one, the pop-ups are safe. They come from a code that we put on the site. There should only be two that come to you per visit. None are infectious. Period.

We are looking into ways to raise revenue on the site so that we don't have to have them without charging you guys to be on the site. It sucks. I know. I hate them too. I'm just being honest with you. We have to pay our bills and when you're an advertising only site with as much traffic as we have, that is sometimes hard to do, hence the 3rd party pop-up ads.

The day, the minute, the second that we don't have to have them, they will be gone.

i love the pop under with the weird grey coin looking thing, that changes text to some political/pharmaceutics thing each time. you only get support (paid) from clicks right?

I honestly think you are at the membership point where you offer a paid subscription just for certain perks, not make the site pay by anymeans.

I agree 100 percent. Had that conversation with an owner today. Looking into it. Thanks for your input.
