Squaw Creek in Ames was approx. 2 feet higher than what I consider normal (where it goes through my backyard anyways). Which is nice because for the longest time it has been empty enough for me to drive my 4 wheeler up and down it.
I believe it; the construction company that rebuilt the Squaw creeks banks just north of L-Way bridge last fall was able to run their heavy equipment on the river bed because there was no flow, just a few pools here and there.
