Filled up at a Kum n Go in the Des Moines metro yesterday for $2.89/gallon. E85 has it's benefits.
And before anyone goes there, yes it decreases my mileage by 15-20%. You can do the math, I'm still money ahead.
Still don't understand why so many people complain about gas prices, check out the cost of a gallon of bottled water the next time you're in a convenience store or a gallon of milk. I'm amazed fuel is still this cheap.
Kum and Go is horrible at pricing the stuff too. E85 should be priced at 2.60 or so based on ethanol prices. Saw it priced here by denision the other day.
I have always wanted to run a successful business become uber rich and then start a gas station that undercut all the surrounding stations on price. If I lose money big deal, I have another business bringing in money to live on.
Your gas station wouldnt lose money. You would make 500% margins on candy, pop, beer and water.
The gap in our economy is between what we have and what we think we ought to have--and that is a moral problem, not an economic one. - Paul Heyne
