Now what we need are to go back to the days of crappy fields that were all dirt by the beginning of December!! I really miss those, especially when you couldn't even tell the home vs road jerseys apart after one quarter. I also love games played in -25 degrees. (while I'm in my recliner, of course!!).

OK, so Pittsburgh had the MNF game with all the rain. Then last week it was raining out there. Now they are going to get that much snow? I bet the grounds crew is just loving that.

A mixture of those games are fun. But I would not want to watch too many of them - they can be rather boring. Like the Miami-Pittsburgh game from a couple weeks ago.

I just recall a game and I think it was at Buffalo...it had snowed so much that week and on Sunday that fans had to dig to get in their seats. One fan was up in the nosebleeds by himself, surrounding in snow up to and even above his head - with his little seat dug out for him to sit it. I love that and was quite jealous.

Granted, I would not want to attend too many of those games either, but I have aspirations of one of those in Ames - ala Colorado a number of years back.

I'd venture to guess the grounds crew is petitioning for an artificial field - but then they realized some of them would be out of a job and tore up the petition.

The Steelers host the Jags though, so I'm guessing they're welcoming some nasty weather.

A game to keep an eye on, especially if there is more nasty weather on Sunday - is the Jets-Pats game. The Pats have not exactly done well so far this year in inclement weather. I'm not touching that bet until gametime.
