HA HA HA.
I bought a Dirt Devil about a year ago and really like it. It's a bit of a knock-off of the Dyson, but doesn't cost as much. (Cyclonic motion that helps the vacuum to maintain suction, etc.) The thing has been great, it has a hepa filter and does a very nice job.
And a bonus: It is ISU Cardinal Red and has "Dual Cyclonic Power" written on the front.

$400...I think I'll stick to climbing the 24ft extension ladder.
Better get the Holster too.:biglaugh:
On a (semi) related note: here's how to relax after a rough day of robotic gutter cleaning:

This thread sucks......
If you have allergies and you will be using the vacuum, don't get a bagless. That was the worst decision I ever made. That stuff, while easy, goes flying in a giant plume from the trash can every time I try to dump it. Bam! Allergy allert. Anyways. We ended up going with a bagged model because over all the filtration just seemed to be better for me.
a little pricey but very nice...
I didn't have to pay for it, but I have a Kirby Ultimate G vacuum. Kinda like the one described earlier here and it is a great vacuum. But if I had to pay the $1200 for it, I probably wouldn't touch it.
As for the gutter cleaner, that thing is a waste. All you need is a semi powerful leaf blower (backpack unit's work the best) then climb up on the roof and use it to blow them out. Done in no time. Of course if you don't have a walkable roof, then you have no one but yourself to blame for that.
