The next "Best movie ever"
Apple - Trailers - The Hottie and the Nottie
I kid. Has anyone see anything worth watching lately? My wife and I saw Dan in Real Life and thought it was pretty good. Was a little long, but overall enjoyed Steve Carrell.
I am thankful that there is a 3 dollar theater in town, otherwise I would go broke.
Re: The next "Best movie ever"
I"m looking forward to Cloverfield. I'm not getting all hyped up about it though. I know if I do that I'll just be let down.
"The Dark Knight" on the other hand...... I can't wait.

Yeah, I saw it a few weeks ago and share your sentiment about being a little long. Once the "revelation" occurred, and it did early, the story line kind of drug on, IMO.
I like Steve Carrell too, which is why I went to see this movie. I knew it wasn't going to be one of his crazier characters, but this was just a little too dry.

Have you seen the new Joker poster for Dark Knight. Creepy.

I may see Cloverfield at the cheap seats. They have already released the look of the monster, and my opinion of it can go either way. JJ Abrahms has yet to fail me, so hopefully he works his magic on this as well.

Juno was very, very funny. I'm also looking forward to Cloverfield. Gotta check on midnight shows...
Re: The next "Best movie ever"
I saw Dan in Real Life a few nights ago, and was actually pretty surprised by it. I thought it fell apart at the end a little (it was kind of a corny, cop-out sort of way to end the movie)... but it was still a good movie. Plus, it was the first time Dane Cook didn't get on my nerves.
I'm really psyched for Cloverfield to come out this Friday. Everything I've heard from people who have seen the movie has been nothing but super positive (apparently they had a limited screening at Michigan State). Plus, it's not too often that a popcorn blockbuster flick like this comes out during the winter time.

Hellboy 2 looks good as well. I cant believe they made a Sex in the City movie. How desparate are they for petes sake.

Hellboy 1 ranks up there with the worst movies I have seen in theatres. Yet, for some reason whenever it's on tv, I always end up watching. I really only enjoy the first part with Rasputin opening to gate to Hell.

I'm looking forward to that as well. I was surprised by the first one.
Hopefully Iron Man doesn't suck.
I have stayed away from everything Cloverfield. I'm not wanting to ruin it.
What does scare me is the fact that it's being release at this time of year. It seems like they usually "hide" some of the bad movies in the months between Christmas and Memorial Day. I hope I'm wrong.

Has anyone seen Hitman? I see thats over at the cheapseats and have been tempted to go.

It would be worth your dollar if you didn't have anything else to do. It's not great, but it might be worth a try.
Re: The next "Best movie ever"
On the TV side, I watched the new Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles. Actually wasnt too bad. I am betting it wont last, but it seemed to flow ok...in the pilot anyway.

Can anybody tell me when Sarah Jessica Parker was attractive?
I just don't get the appeal there.
If I wanted to see a show about a talking horse I'd watch "Mr. Ed" reruns on Nick at Nite.

I think it was more of J.J. Abrams' decision to release the movie on 1/18/08. I don't think filming even started until last summer, even though they had most of the pre-production stuff covered. Definitely not the sign of a movie studio wanting to release a crap film in the off-season.
