My service is through Qwest...do some of you "computer guys" have any other ideas? I'm beginning to wonder if it's just some sort of firewall set up outside of our house that isn't letting me connect directly with other computers/gaming websites. I had this problem at times when living in apartment complexes and thought I would be rid of it once I moved into a house where no one else shares the internet. Thats crazy. There should be no reason to have issues playing games online. Hosting a game server may cause some issues, but going out shouldnt. What games are you trying to connect with/to.
