CR got ABC in HD OTA wayyy before DSM as well. I wonder when DSM will be up? Not that I need it with my OTA antenna, but just curious.

Again...not that it matters to me, but I still feel snubbed.

Re: DTV to offer CR and Waterloo HD locals
Ok, Cr/Waterloo is half the size of DSM area, and a lot crappier. This means those losers in Iowa city will probably get it then huh? Do they use CR tv channels?

I have Dish right now and for DishHD it is $20/month... And the VOOM channels are almost worthless... The only reason that I have it is for ESPN HD, DISCOVERY HD, and HIST HD.
I think they are coming out with a new HD pack that is just the "national" hd channels, so I may look into that.

That includes HD locals, as well as all the available HD channels for things you subscribe to (i.e. if you get HBO, you get HBO HD if you get the HD package).
I think it's one of the best deals in TV.

Des Moines is 71 in the Nation.
Cedar Rapids is 87 in the Nation. (AKA Channels Suck through Suck)
My guess is that they have more subscribers in Eastern iowa b/c of the BTN so they started with them.? List of television stations in North America by media market - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Make sure you don't call the charge. But make sure you call the foul on the scrum.... -
Re: DTV to offer CR and Waterloo HD locals
The reason that CR/Waterloo is going first has nothing to do with size of market. It has to do with CR/Waterloo locals being on an old bird that is going away.
